A 31-page 7D review for your consideration

November 7, 2009

The always thorough DPReview has finally published its epic review of the Canon 7D. Their conclusion? Brilliant. While in the end your purchase probably will rely more on your investment into the Canon, Nikon, Pentax, or whatever ecosystem, the 7D performs incredibly well and should be considered among the very best available. Not much else to say except I wish I had two grand burning a hole in my pocket so I could pick one up.

HTC HD2 Photo tour

November 5, 2009

We’ve already posted a couple of videos (here and here) and tonight there’s a few up-close shots for you guys to gaze at. Despite the 4.3″ screen the device is slim and not overly wide. The screen makes even the most non-finger-friendly apps usable and the HTC Sense interface is just fantastic.
Now, it’s true to say that we’ve been kinda critical of Windows Mobile 6.5 and we were worried that it might not compete in an ever-changing mobile market. We were also worried that WindowsSource: coolsmartphone RSS Feed

Porsche Boxster Spyder: The Lightest Porsche You Can Buy [La Auto Show]

November 5, 2009

At 2,811 lbs — only 11 lbs more than the 10-year-old 986 Porsche Boxster — the new 2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder will be the lightest Porsche you can buy after it’s unveiled at next month’s LA Auto Show.

But it’s not just lighter, it’s also powerful thanks to the Boxster Spyder’s 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine putting out 320 horses — that’s 10 more HP than the Boxster S. So, wait, let’s get this straight — it’ll be 176 lbs lighter than the Boxster S and get a touch more power?Source: Jalopnik RSS Feed

Bid for Profitability, not Pride

November 5, 2009

Every company wants to be at the front of the pack, leaving their competitors in the dust.

To beat the competition in PPC advertising, your first instinct might be to outbid competitors and get your ad into the top few positions, often located directly above the organic results.

With your ad gloriously perched atop the search results, surely you’re at a competitive advantage compared to all those lowly ads on the right side of the page…right?

Well, not necessarily.Source: Unofficial Google Analytics Blog RSS Feed

this is a tribute: led mega man

November 2, 2009

Mega Man fan Nicholas may not have scored the top spot in Capcom Unity’s Mega Man tribute contest, but he has certainly won my heart with his colorful and pixelated light-up figure.

Now, at this point, you may be thinking “colorful? huh?” I know, the two shades of blue does not a rainbow make. But not only does this particular little Mega Man glow oh-so-brightly, his color scheme can be changed as well. Sometimes, you just have to power up.
